The Black box had to be remade through time with some of the original box made into it. From past stories and also it use to have wooden slips now they have to use paper as there are more people in the town since when this was first started. Old man warner is the oldest in the town and he had to use a stool for the new box which was remade before he was born.

As our generation knows a lottery we think of a good prize being won.
An author could use this to trick us as most people love a lottery and winning a prize, but we all in this generation would not like to hear about horrible death in an outrageous and sick way.
