 Senior reflection blog: photography level 3

1) This year for my portfolio I am working on photography and am taking pictures of nature/flowers. I am using the artist Fiona Pardington as an inspiration as I like how she includes dark backgrounds with bright focal points. 

2) I went onto  photo shop and was able to create dark backgrounds to the photos I have taken and enhance the brightness and saturation to the focal points/flowers. 

3)  I enjoyed diving deeper into photo shop and editing more of my photos.

4) I struggled with the picture taking aspect as most of the flowers I have used have died or are dying and the weather has not been the best.  

5) I would enable myself to go or get more flowers in the photo sessions I had done so I could get a better variety and more photos produced.

Art: Printing

For art we have been making a carving to then ink onto a piece of paper. Our objective was to make a final print of our drawing in that case I made a bird. It took be a few weeks to finally get the drawing I liked then I traced it onto my carving lino. After putting it onto my carving lino I finally was at the point of actually carving it out. With our prints we did lightest colour first to then end on our darkest colour. for my first colour which was yellow I just cut out the out line of my bird for the next colour green I cut out all the parts I wanted to keep yellow. Finally to the last colour black I cut out all the pieces I wanted to keep green. I think I did well for it being my first time doing multiple colors but next time I would definitely do a different image that I could draw better and also line up the the lines better when printing.

Art: In art we have been learning a whole lot of stuff like under painting and other things. For our drawing we were told to make something with anime and cultural patterns. This is a good idea for our developing artwork because its not basic like a normal eye ball.

The colors I have chosen are great because all my colors are great to blend together. All my colors I have used both blend and look great together. 

First we under painted it with yellow and blue. Yellow is for light colors and Blue is for dark colors. Then we started painting over the blue and yellow and after like 2 or 3 days of concentrating I finished.

As you can see my work is a heart with a sword coming through then I added two more heart because I thought it was just boring with 1. After that I tried to add wings and make them like a fairy wings. 

 The shapes I have used is a heart and also a arrow as you can see I have also put one of my best names in the middle. after that have put a wing shape in there because I wanted em sword to fly.'

My inspiration was base around Fortnite axe because I play Fornite all the time and it looks cool I have also make it a little different then the normal product.  

Yes I had trouble with the wings because they had to be perfect and inline. I also had trouble with the wings again because I put like half circles and it had to be small/big.

Yeah kinda because with the wings it kinda means like fly high don't be a shy person fly high and be proud.

I enjoyed making this because i could actually work on cold hard lino and do stuff and work on it with my hands then online. What i could have changed is my drawing because I don't think it is that good.

I have learned to carved on lino and print with some sticky paint. 

Logo Research/Art

For art we got told to search up 5 to 10 logos then pick 3 that I thought were the best. So as you can see I have the three I like and then after I put a sentence of what I like about it. 

Symbol,I like how it is designed and how it’s drawn the way it is also I love how they have made it so detailed.

Emblem , I love how this logo is a picture and has letters in them it just looks so cool together.

Lettermark, I like how it looks like a bird flying away but then I looked more at it and it was the M flying away it’s just so creative to me and I like.
