Reading

For reading this week we were asked to research about two people the wright brothers and Richard Peares were both told to be the first to fly a plane but I think it was the wright brothers with all my research.  I have been doing I have herd nothing about Richard being the first and even Richard said the wright brothers made the first one and flew the first one. So if you read all my information about the wright brothers then u will know they made it first.

What I learn this week:

This week for writing I am learning about Explanation writing my group got asked to make a plan about it and since our topic is flying/kites. So we got asked to make a plan and write a intro about kites and explain what they are. For reading we are seeing who made the first plane But I think the wright brothers so I  went on there side. For Math's were are learning measurement so we got asked to make our dream house then measure how many meters each square was and add them all up. Basically all week we are learning about flying/kite/planes.

Logo Research/Art

For art we got told to search up 5 to 10 logos then pick 3 that I thought were the best. So as you can see I have the three I like and then after I put a sentence of what I like about it. 

Symbol,I like how it is designed and how it’s drawn the way it is also I love how they have made it so detailed.

Emblem , I love how this logo is a picture and has letters in them it just looks so cool together.

Lettermark, I like how it looks like a bird flying away but then I looked more at it and it was the M flying away it’s just so creative to me and I like.

Reading/Flight

For reading 8TS has been learning about flight in this presentation shows you who built the first airplane and what I think a plane looked like back then. I will say I had a look at some pictures of them and tried to copy what it looks like it might be bad thought. Anyway in this presentation you will learn more about who make the first airplane and what it looks like.

My Kete work what I have learnt this week

This week we have been learning about our family's For kete we had to choose  three tasks from a list to do. I choose to learn about A famous NZ Sport and see why it is famous I choose Cricket. Then I Choose to draw a map or NZ and name at less 10 Maori names of NZ places. Then I choose to write a Whakatauka and I choose to write He honore which is About Family and to love everyone no matter who they are and what they look like. I have learnt that we are all in the world as one and we should like anyone no matter what,

What I learnt this week

This week my class were to make a slide about how New Zealand was found. We were to read two story about James Cook and Kupe. I read both of them and the diction on who found New Zealand first is James Cook because he found it first but diced to not tell any one but family. It was a little after then Kupe found it but then told every one so when James said he was the actual one to find it first they didn't believe him till He went and gave Kupe the evidence  and deiced to let him be the one how found New Zealand. So as you can see James Cook was the one to find New Zealand also Kupe was just fishing for Octopus then he saw a new Island.


                        

KETE 2018

KETE 2018!

For Kete we got asked to make any type of Poster, Google Slide and more to show why Hornby High is a great school and that everyone should go to. So what I have done is made a Pictochart to explain to the audience like you to see if this is good. If you where a parent and would this persuade you to

enroll you child?. As you can see I have talked about Sports, Subjects, Uniform and more. There is also the C.A.R.R values also Hornby High goes to year 7 and finishes at year 13.  As you can see in the Poster there is a lot of fun cool things at Hornby High so you should enroll you child now. What I have learnt during this past week that there is a lot of past History about this school. Also that there is a lot of fun cool things you can get into being here for free like Netball you can ask the Sports Teacher to set something up and she will like Gymnastics and more.  The meaning of community is a group of people coming together to make a whole, also Hornby High shows they are a community by sticking up for each other and being there for everyone.
