Heart Attacks:
Whats causes one?
Heart attacks happen when more than one Arteries are blocked. The main causes for Arteries to get blocked up is because Plaque builds up around the arteries walls and slowly closes the whole up. Arteries help oxygen get to the heart if they get blocked then it not so easy to breathe. The main reason for arteries to get blocked up are if you not eating the best, like if you just continuously eat fatty foods that have no nutrition.
How do you know you're having one?
The symptoms of having a heart attack are nausea, heartburn, shortness or breathe,Pain in you're arms that slowly spreads to you're neck, Squeezing/aching sensation and Pressure towards you're chest.
How do you prevent a Heart attack?
1. Avoid smoking at all cost
2. Have a healthy diet (eat lest carbs)
3. Control stress.
4. Maintain you're weight.
5. Exercise regularly
In a heart there is a thick side and a thin side that is because the left side which is the thick side sends blood to the entire body which means its doing more work. When the Right side which is the thin side is just sending blood to just the heart. The fat is a soft red sustenance in the heart that is stored by carbohydrates when Muscles are a hard white sustenance that protects the heart. Valves help blood move through the body to the heart which makes the heart able to pump. The two holes at the top of the heart are the aorta and super vena cava, the vena cava is the main hole on top of the heart. The difference between a a sheep's heart and a pig's heart is the pigs heart is more human like. Human and pig's have the same type of heart. We were meant to dissecting a pig's heart but ended up dissecting a sheep's heart.

On Tuesday we were asked to look at a 3d cube but we couldn't see the back of it. we were asked how many had 3 faces,2 faces,1 face and no faces.
On Thursday we got these pixel pictures and we had to see how many square we could make in that picture. But we have to do the least amount of square we can.
Today (Friday) we learnt about optimal which basically mean that ever thing you do have a another option. Like buying fruit you have to make choices. We also learnt that most math's problems have more than one answer.

P.E:
Today in P.e we practice on our long jump and shot put. For me since I'm doing competitive for Athletics this period I have been learning the right way to throw a Shot put and practice long jump. The right way to throw a shot put when your in the circle you need to step two steps back. Ending with your dominate leg at the back once you have done that put you shot put up to your chin. Then when your ready you take two step forward but take side steps. and twist your back leg and hips to the front and then through make sure not to walk out of the circle from the fronts. With long jump you need to step 21 steps back from the pit then when your ready run up to the line and jump but make sure you hands don't go behind you.

Fosbury flop is where you run up to the bar and turn on ur non-jumping foot then jump on your back with your legs and hand straight up in the air. the way to figure out your jumping foot is when you step foward what foot do you put out first the determines what foot you use.
Starting poes for sprinting:
When you line up to the sprint track walk 2 and a half steps backwards and kneel to where your front foot is a little bit in front of you knee. When the leader says get set you put your bottom to the air above your head and when they say go you need to push off you front foot.

Putting it into practice:
We watched a little clip that was made in the 70's that portrayed Females to be perfect and have no fun. They were made out to clean everything in the house and make sure everything is in its place. While Males are portrayed to look manly and strong. The male's in the text mowed the lawns and did all the quote "Manly jobs" that Females were no allowed to do.
The next clip we watched was from the musical Legally Blonde. The way that this text was made to be seen is a Female being dominant. Not needing any men in their life, being able to do the same things they do but better.
Putting it in to Focus:
We then watched two clips that were about dunk driving both clips are framed to be about young adults. The first clip was about Young adults drinking at a party and then driving without thinking. The conclusion of driving without thinking he crashed and made his friends died. Since he didn't keep sober he lost his best mate.
The second clip with kinda the opposite but not their still drinking but this time the so called "Sober Friend" didn't end up driving because his friend convinced him it wasn't a good idea. The conclusion of that is they are still alive healthy and happy hanging out with the same friends and everyone is safe.
Is The Text Fair?
I don't think both are because it is mainly based on young adults and not realistic. Not only is it based on young adult its based around Young Adult Boys. I feel like not all boys party and drink unresponsively.
How have the Young Adults constructed in this text?
They have made the Young Adult look stupid and irresponsible. They have made it look like we aren't smart and we look dumb.
How does it represent gender and cultural groups?
I think they are sexist and only represent boys that are Maori/Islander. The women are used for to look pretty in the background and distract the boys.
Why is the text written this way?
It is presented to scare you and not be tempted to drink and drive. That drink and driving can be a thing that can cause something serous to happen like death.
