Science:

The Eye:

In science we have been learning about eyes and how they work. Everything you need to know about you're eye even the technique worlds for the parts of you're eyes. I'm going to be answering and showing you my understanding about this part.
How does light travel from the eye to the brain?
Since the cornea is convex which means light is able to go into the cornea through into the pupil which is the black circle in you're eye. Which is next to the iris ( Iris is the colored bit of you eye) the muscles around the eye can contain how much light goes in the eye. In a human Eye ball we only get a little bit of light compared to a cow which gets a lot. The light keeps going through the lens to the Retina which send nerve fibers to the optic nerve  which is at the back of the eye. That sends the light to the brain and makes you're vision work.

- This is the out side of the cows eye also on the outside of this it have the start of the optical nerve.

- This is the other side of the eye ball.

- This is us cutting the fat around the eye  to start cutting the blue bit which is the pupil.

Why do Cows have night vision? Because when the light hits your eye goes through your cornea. To your pupil then to your lens. To the Retina which allows home much light gets in. They have night vision because the Retina get more light in which is making cows see through the night better than humans. And in the cows eye have a blue thing at the back of their eye which also helps them. I don't really know what it called but it looks like when you open a clam shell.

Fun facts about the eye: Even if no one in the past few generations of your family had blue or green eyes, these recessive traits can still appear in later generations. Each of your eyes has a small blind spot in the back of the retina where the optic nerve attaches. You don’t notice the hole in your vision because your eyes work together to fill in each other’s blind spot. Out of all the muscles in your body, the muscles that control your eyes are the most active. :)

Government:

Government:

Government is a group of people that make country's controlled and not insane. This means they take charge and make laws to keep is safe and alive. For example gum rules, here in New Zealand  we arrant allowed guns for safety reasons. This shows we are lucky to have a government the world would be horrific.

Conerving:

Aim: To observe convection in a liquid.

Method:

1. set up the Bunsen Burner on a heatproof mat. Put the guaze mat on the tripod but leave it just to on side of the Bunsen Burner.

2. Fill a 200ml beaker with 150ml cold water.

3. Place the beaker on top of the tripod and gauze and allow it to settle for a few minutes.

4. Carefully insert a drinking straw down one side of the beaker. ensuring the straw is touching the bottom of the beaker. Be careful as you do not want to disturb the water too much.

5. Using tweezers, drop a crystal of potassium permanganate down the inside of the straw. wait for the crystal to settle on the bottom of the beaker.

6. Very gently, so to no disturb the water, remove the straw.

7. Light the Bunsen and slide it under the tripod so that you are the only heating the outside

Discussion: The hot purple water rises up to the top because it is less dense. And the purple rised up and looked really cool.
