Drama:

Today Period 3 we watched a play called The Taming If The Shrew. t started off good because they were energetic and funny.

What I like
I really like who they used up all of the space and choose to engage with the audience.
I like how they were realatable with this year generation.
I like how if they didn't get changed well or quick enough they would bring it into the play and act like it was meant to happen.

What I don't Like
I didn't like how they were so loud like I know you have to be loud but in my option they were a but to loud.
I didn't like when they kissed like i don't care but it was a bit gross for me to be honest.

For example it was weird for me because I didn't think they were gonna do it and because it not the normal for me to see to be honest.

Science:Making A Dilution Series

Making A Dilution Series:

Aim: To make a Dilution series to investigate concentration. 

Method: 1. Place the six test tubes in a test tube rack. Label the rack with numbers 1-6. 

2. using the measuring cylinder. full the test tubes 1 with 10 mL of water. fill the remaining test tubes with 5 ml of water. 

3. Using your tweezers, add a single crystal of potassium peregrinate to test tube 1. 

4. Gently shake the test tube until the crystal dissolved. 

5. using the transfer pipette, carefully remove exactly 5 mL from test tube 1 and pour it into test tube 2. 

6. Rinse the transfer pipette thoroughly to ensure that no purple solution remains. 

7. gently shake test tube 2 and repeat the transfer process, transfer exactly 5 mL of solution form test tube 2 to test tube 3.

 8. Rinse the pipette again and repeat the transfer process for test tubes 4,5 and 6. 

Result: Basically all it really did was make the purple liquid lighter and lighter because we are basically adding water which make it lighter and then after adding more and more it started to look like normal water with a hint of purple. 

Discussion:  Solute= Crystals   Solvent= Water  Solution= Each tube changed color  Dilute= Basically each time we poured water into the test tube it changed color to be lighter  Concentrated= More crystals more darker the purple will be.

Basically when you add the solute and solvent together it made it concentrated. when you add more solvent it makes the water and purple color more dilute but when you add more solute to the solvent makes the solution more concentrated  

Soundtrack Of My Life:

The last week in English we were told to make a soundtrack of our life it could be songs that you really like or songs that your mum loves. What ever it is it has to be about you and your life the first day we were asked to find at least  4 songs. Then we were asked to found out when it was published,why you like it and what the songs lyrics are about. So I have decided to make a slide show explaining why I like the song and what the lyrics/song means. hope you guys enjoy :)

In math's the past three weeks we have been watching videos on why math's helps you and why speed is not good to use in math's.

We first watched a video about why speed is never the answer in math's and that's because a lot of high top math's teachers and students never do speed tests because it can make you stress and you can get a easy question wrong. It is known that when doing speed test your actually not learning a lot of people don't know their times tables well because of it.   

In another video we watched we learned that to never give up even if you think its an impossible question. You may think like the worlds over but relax calm down a lot of top math's people have to never give up and at the end they either get it wrong or right. In math's its good to take your time and never give up even if you think you cant do it. After you get your mind set into math's and the question it will start getting easier.  

Health

Health:

A Whare Tapa Wha is about all dimensions of Hauora which is Social,Mental,Emotional,physical and spiritual. Today in health we were asked to make a house with all 4 dimensions of each side. This is useful to know because all the dimensions relate to your everyday life and everything you do. As a team I think we did great making the house because there was 4 of us two were writing and the other two were making the house also everyone worked together. We also did great with our communicating because we work great as a team. My favorite quote is “Life's hard but never give up”.     

                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

 

Drama: What I would like to do.

Drama: What I Would Like To Do.

I haven't really been an acter or anything but I have chosen Drama to give it a go. The things that I would like to do in drama is dancing and singing. I'm not a great singer and i'm really shy but I want to change that. The one thing I would love to do is High School Musical but without the kissing scenes.  

English: Family,Friends And Furry Creatures.

Reading: Family Friends And Furry Creatures By Tom Gates:

 I read pages 1-28 from the book "Family Friends And Furry Creatures" by "Tom Gates". Its starts off quite weird theirs this little boy around 10 years old called Tom is just a normal kid with a normal family. Hes quite scared of his school and is nervous with all of the student in his school because they judge a lot. One day he was walking to school and then realized a weird noise coming from his shoes. After school he told his mum about it and wanted her to buy new shoes but she didn't believe him. The next day he kept getting bullied over his shoes and wanted to run away.

8.2.19: 

The next day the boy Tom was at school sitting in class. The shoes problem was still happening so he decided  to take his shoes off in class then people wont hear the noises anymore. until his teacher found out and yelled at him to put his shoes back on. After that the teacher then told all of the students to line up. Tom waited for everyone to pass him he decided to slide and see if his shoes would make any noise and it was he lucky day. After finding out that if he was to slide in his shoes no noise will come out he went with the rest of his day and slid everywhere.  


2.15.2019:

The next day Tom was at school and had to do a project "The Family Tree". But he couldn't finish it in time because he doesn't really know his family well apart form the four he lives with. While that was going on he still had his shoe thing going on but for the time being he had gym shoes on which was good. He was lucky it was Friday because he wouldn't have to deal with his shoes and get a new pair. The bad thing is he would have to finish his project and have to listen to his parents all weekend. He got home and talked to his parents like 4 hours later he was finished with his project and was ready to get new shoes. He called his friend John to go with him. What made John go was Tom said to him that were getting ice cream.




19.2.2019:

Tom went to go out and get new shoes. He was lucky that's his shoes were on sale. After he got his new shoes that don't make noise. He went to go get Ice Cream after that he then went to take photos for his project. After like 4 days he finished his project and was happy because he could finally hangout with his friends.
