Spirituals Songs:
In social studies we learnt about Spirituals Songs and why slaves used while working. Slaves back in the day would make up songs and used them to help motivate each other to keep working. Because back in the day Slave would have to work all day no matter what to till the sun goes down. Nearly every song has a story/hidden meaning behind them. The songs that the slaves would make up was mainly about finding a way to escape/having freedom.
