On Wednesday we were asked to mix plaster of pans with water we had to mix till the plaster of pans felt like cement mixture. Then we got giving a toy dinosaur to put in the mixture to sit at first all of our dinosaurs were floating at the top. After two days we got given our rock solid plaster and also got given a hammer looking thing to break open. Most of ours were still not set but it still worked. Out of all of this we were asked to look at the mold. This is science because now a days scientist have to do the same type of thing to find out all of the dinosaurs that are in the ground.   

EOCT Week: Refection:

EOCT Week: Refection.

It was time for EOCT Week probably the best week of the year wait i'm lying koru games was the best by far but EOCT week was not far behind. We went to a Marae,Omaka scout camp and Adrenalin Forest. What I enjoyed the most was Adrenalin Forest even though its was the most challenging because of number 2 I was so scared but I just thought to myself that I had to finish it. I pushed myself so hard to finish number 2 because I knew I would put myself down so I just had to push through it. The type of skills that I learnt was to work as a team and to be able to communicate as a team and not fight all the time and get stuff done.What I learnt about myself is to not give up and just push through everything because you would never feel the same way.But apart from that it was a great experience and I had a great time.

This week for EOCT week we are going to Omaka scout camp. Last week we were told to make a little add showing people why you should go visit. I have tried to make a powtoon about it but this was my first time. I wasn't sure how to put it on my blog so I'm just gonna copy and paste the link. If there is any problems please tell me so I can do better on my work. Omaka Scout Camp is really fill of activities that may overcome your fears. It is run by all adults that want kid to have a fun time but also overcome their fears at the same time.

Move to Improve:

My Goal Is to be a Football player its my dream goal to be one and to be fit enough not to stop all the time while running in cross country. They both fit in to each other because its mainly being fit and having stamina to run a lot. I love the football team Chelsea and I hope i'm as good as my favorite player Eden Hazard. I want to train a lot by doing some sprints and doing long distance while sprinting because that is rally good in football. I would also like to be as good and rough like boys because I watch a lot of girls now that are not that good because there scared.

We were asked to sit down and watch a short film for 15 minutes and wright down what we learnt.

I have learnt that white bread is fill of so many bad things which can cause heart disease and diabetes which can make you very ill and maybe die.

I would like to know how sugar is so bad and what makes it that bad for you.

After we watch that we were asked to see how much teaspoons of sugar is in these foods.

We were then asked to choose a idem and see why they use them colors and the logo. We chose Vitamin Water logo is just basic water drop which is red and white. The colors they use are orange red and white I think they chose them colors because no one really uses orange and because they water is also orange. What words are on they label? Well all it says is Vitamin Water it is meant to be healthy but its really not.

EOCT Week Task

EOCT Week Task: 

We are going to a week trip doing all type of fun things but first we have to do some activity about what were doing. For this activity I got told I have to make a poster saying what type of hazers are while being on the water because we are going to be in the water during that week. I listed 5 things on my poster hope you guys enjoy.

This term 8BH and 8TS have been learning about how to make a great question into google so we can get the exact result we need. We learnt that when you put just the quality words in then there is a more chance of you getting what you needed to know. I have also learnt that when you search something up to look at the description to see if the name or thing for example football if you see that name in bold that means its more likely to be a good website. I've also learnt that when you search something up to go on tools and put in you'r country or all. Tools can also help you not get copy write for example you might want to get a great image make sure you can use it. I think we have learnt this because it can help you research things and get the right/great answer.

I am interested in Set design I would like to know more about it and how to design a high stranded   set. I would love to create a set for a great movie like the lion king and make it as realistic. I would love to Share my set design in front of my school or even in front of movie director. It would be great if one day I could show my skills that I would learn over the years to famous directors so I can get famous. I would also like to be seen by famous directors so I can make great films

Stacking Money, Could it reach a basketball hoop?

If you stacked $20 dollar bills until you reached 1 million, Would The stack be higher than the rim of a basketball hoop.

With all of the research Genica And I came to the decision that it cant because of how small/thin the notes are. Also Most basketball hoops are really tall and I think it is impossible to reach that high with 1 million $20 notes. We searched up how tall is $20 note worth 1 million dollars and  it came up to 165m then when search  how long is a standard basketball hoop is and its 308m so that give us the conclusion that it cant.

Probability is the chance of something happening for example the next person you meet will be left handed that is unlikely because of the amount of people right handed

Cybersmart Project: Explorers fro Kushiro,Pevek and Namsos arrive at the Northpole and check their watches. If they arrive at 11.42 a.m,12.17 p.m and 3.A.m. respectively. which team was first.

Kushiro time zone: 8.02 am = 7 hours 

Pevek time zone: 11.02 am =4 hours         these are the time differences from the Northpool.

Namsos time zone: 1.02 am = 14 hours 

Northpool time zone: 3.02 p.m


Who arrived first: Pevek because they have a less time different to northpool so i think that they had arrived first because they would have had less time to get there.

for the past few weeks 8BH and 8TS have been working together  about things on a blog post that bugs us. Trisha and I got together to work on what really bugs us about blogs. We chose about when people comment but then delete it afterwards. Then we were told to make a presentation about our investigation. The Theater can be magical

The Theater can be magical:

1. front of house-is when you introduce the stage what you are going to be doing. 

2.Musical Director-The one who makes sure all of the music is working and that nothing will hopefully go wrong 

3. Stage manager-Tells everyone where to go and makes sure everyone is placed right.

4. producer-The person who makes the lines for the actors to say.

5.make-up artist- Makes sure everyone is looking their best for the show.

6. choreographer-Shows were and what the dancers singers and actors have to do like when a song starts move right stuff like that.

7.Dancer,actor,singer-They will be the main people because they are the ones on stage with the lines.

8. Scenery designer-The person who creates the background and make it stage ready.

9.Costume designer-The person who makes all the costumes look great for the show.

10. lighting designer- Someone who controls all of the lights and make sure they are running right.

Last week we were learning how to solve big times table question we also got told to make a D.L.O of how to solve it. For example 26x5 it might be hard but you can watch this to hopefully help you.  

Music Skills

For the first week of music we were learning piano we learned how to play with our right hand.
The challenging this was playing with my right hand because I'm left handed  it was different for me.  What I enjoyed was learning how to play Castle by the hill by Ed Seeran. I loved playing the piano because it is really easy to learn/play.

Guitar:

We are learning Guitar now, we got a sheet which shows you how to do the A minor and E minor. we haven't had  a lot of time learning but most of us have got it down. To me guitar is very hard it had a lot of cords but i'm think everyone is doing great. After we get  A and E minor down we are allowed to choose a song to practices.

Lets start off with how you are going to start this conversation/comment. You will always want to start off with hi then the blogger's name for example we are going to say our blogger name is john you would say "Hi John it's Kayla here". It depends who you are talking to because it will not always be the same name.

Second step is to write something you liked about the blog post and make it very detail but also straight to the point. Because you don't want to make something that can be short put into a long paragraph.

The next thing is that you want to make a positive sentence saying like "I love how you have put so much detail to your work" Something like that so it can make the blogger happy about what they a posted. 

The last and final thing is to ask a question or something helpful. For example you could say "I love your work but you might want to add some more detail" But you would say it in a nice way. If you said it in a demanding way then it will sound like your mean when you just trying to be helpful.

As you can see my work is a heart with a sword coming through then I added two more heart because I thought it was just boring with 1. After that I tried to add wings and make them like a fairy wings. 

 The shapes I have used is a heart and also a arrow as you can see I have also put one of my best names in the middle. after that have put a wing shape in there because I wanted em sword to fly.'

My inspiration was base around Fortnite axe because I play Fornite all the time and it looks cool I have also make it a little different then the normal product.  

Yes I had trouble with the wings because they had to be perfect and inline. I also had trouble with the wings again because I put like half circles and it had to be small/big.

Yeah kinda because with the wings it kinda means like fly high don't be a shy person fly high and be proud.

I enjoyed making this because i could actually work on cold hard lino and do stuff and work on it with my hands then online. What i could have changed is my drawing because I don't think it is that good.

I have learned to carved on lino and print with some sticky paint. 

What I liked about this term:

I am here to tell you what I liked about this term I am going to be using Who,What,How,Where and Why so lets get started.

The first thing/only thing I liked about this term is the quiz. Who- Mr T gave us weekly quiz on Friday we where to answer the quiz then show him. What- what I like about that is that after we showed him he would then tell us what place we came if we came in the top 3 then at morning tea time he would give us something from the diary.How-He would got to a website and then tell us to answer the question. Where- After hui we would all get our Chromebooks out at the same time so it is fair then go as fast as we can to answer them. Why- Well I don't really know why but I think it is to make the kid/our class to have fun because like we are the best class.

Art:

Art: For art this term we learned about what each logo represents a group here are some of the groups.
Symbol, Emblem and Letter mark. Letter mark is a image of just words and not really a image.
Symbol is a image or logo of just a picture and not any words it is a picture that represents
the logo/image. and finally Emblem is a logo/image that is both so it is like Nike because they have a
image and words. A little later we were asked to draw a image of what ever and make it perfect so then
later we could cut it out in lino block. we had to draw three different drawings then the on we would cut out
we would draw two of them a draft then the final copy.After we have drawed the finally copy we would
use a spoon or roller then roll over the paper and keep rolling for a couple of minutes. After you
rolled the paper enough and have the out line of the image/drawing then get a cutting broad and a knife then
cut out the image line by line. After you cut of every line you want to be cut you will go over to your teacher
and get some sticky paint and roll it on to your drawing and place it on the paper. after that you are done.
